Sweet Green Expands Suburban Footprint

Sweet Green, the popular fast-casual salad chain, is coming to 223 E. Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, PA. The new 3,200 SF restaurant (formerly Le Pain Quotidien) will feature expanded outdoor seating and dedicated parking.
As fast-casual salad concepts go, Sweetgreen has demonstrated impressive growth. According to Nation’s Restaurant News, it is the first salad startup to reach “unicorn” status, having raised millions from venture capital funding; the valuation of the company is $1.78 billion. Bloomberg.com reported that Sweetgreen is planning to file an IPO later this year.
Richard Soloff of Soloff Realty and Development brokered the long-term lease on behalf of the Landlord, Provco Group; Brian Bruzek of CBRE represented Sweet Green. The lease is valued at over $2 million.
